Rescue Tails

Here are some stories, or Tails, of recent Rescues, that were just part of the past few months.  These stories are here as just typical of the dogs came through Rescue.  They are a good cross section of the kinds of dogs and the reasons that dogs come into Rescue.  Click on their names for their details.

Every year, we have 10-15 more all with things in common with one of these.

Tail 1 - Spring '03 - Babe

Tail 2 -  January 03 - Chewy or Chewbacca

Tail 3- December 02  - Sparky

Tail 4 - February 03 -  Polly

Tail 5 - November 02 -   Cody - one of 5 rescued at one time.

Tail 6 - July 04 - Ty - a special rescue of a special dog

Butch - he came in as a 30# puppy! and finally left a lot slimmer.  It took 3 placements to get him in the right place but he is there now. This is a picture as he takes off to San Francisco in a Miata!

Cassie -This old girl came in at age 9, had a stiff leg but full of energy. Six weeks after she was placed, the new owner was notified that the original owner left a $5,000 grant to the new owner.  (In the picture, the c*t watches Cassie get her first stripping.)

 Impossible Rescues

On occasion, we get Cairns in Rescue that seem impossible to place, due to age, due to medical condition, or whatever.  Here is a link to the stories of a series of Rescues that seemed impossible to place.  These happened in 1999 & 2000, their stories were placed on the old Cairn list and are found in the archives.
